Meet the 70 West Body Shop Team

OUR PEOPLE

70 West Body Shop is family-owned by Conrad and Chris Durski, a father and son team. Chris is very active in the community and continues 70 West’s long tradition of community sponsorships and donations. Conrad, Chris, and their staff have always treated every vehicle that comes through their quality auto body shop as if it were their own family’s vehicle. Safety and quality are never compromised because they always want to be the area’s best body shop.

Chris Durski was always watching and around the shop as a kid. He started learning the trade about a year and a half after Conrad, his father, purchased the business. Always striving for excellence, Chris pursued and achieved ASE and I-CAR certification to further his expertise and complement his talent.

Chris moved to the Northwoods from Milwaukee with his family when he was a child and attended Northland Pines School District schools, but spent his last two years of high school in the southern part of the state where he graduated from Bayview High School in Milwaukee.

When his father purchased 70 West Body Shop from its previous owner, he moved back to the Eagle River area.

He loves that there is always something different to work on and that new challenges and customer projects arise regularly. “It’s such a big reward just to see something crashed and be able to make it look like new.”

Chris also greatly enjoys the challenges associated with custom auto body work, classic car restoration, and auto airbrushing.

Jeff

Jeff is a Wisconsin native and a California refugee. He has 30 plus years auto body and automotive repair experience. When Jeff is not working he enjoys camping, hiking, metal fabrication, and all around anything that can be built.

OUR HISTORY

CONRAD DURSKI, OWNER AND 1ST GENERATION DURSKI AT 70 WEST

Conrad Durski participated in a General Motors training apprenticeship in Milwaukee in 60s when he was 18 years old. In his words he “had to jump through a lot of hoops” to earn a Greater Milwaukee Auto Trades Association sponsorship, but his hard work paid dividends for his career. Conrad gained experience and skill at high-quality shops with trusted reputations.

Conrad continued to pursue opportunities that expanded his skills and expertise. Finally, in 1999, Conrad purchased an auto body shop in Eagle River, Wisconsin.

COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

70 West Body Shop continues its tradition of community involvement by sponsoring local events. Over the years, 70 West has managed parking for Cranberry Fest, raising funds for the Children’s Museum or other local charity. They sponsor school sports such as girls basketball, soccer, and other local school sports. You’ll often see 70 West as a primary sponsor for local car shows and other community events as well.
